St. Clare of Assisi Administration Building and Parish Expansion

Owner: The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston | Architect: Studio Red Architects

St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, situated southeast of Houston near NASA Space Center, is part of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. This project comprises two phases of construction. The initial phase involves building a 12,694-square-foot ground-up Administrative Building. This building will house administrative offices, meeting spaces, and a parish hall. It will connect to the existing school building and serve as the primary entry point for check-in and registration.

Phase 2 focuses on renovating and expanding the current 763-seat church. The 22,300-square-foot renovation will increase the seating capacity to 1,100 seats, utilizing the existing administrative offices and parish hall as new seating areas. Additionally, a new sanctuary platform, chapel, cry room and confessionals will be incorporated into the renovation.
