Houston Humane Society Public Veterinary Hospital

Owner: Houston Humane Society | Architect: Ta Building Workshop

This renovation project at 3100 W Fuqua converts the former Vinson Branch Library, designed in 1969 by renowned Houston architect Irving Phillips, into the Houston Humane Society Public Veterinary Hospital. Initially intended as the site for the Houston Humane Society Wildlife Center, which has since relocated to their main campus, the building will undergo adaptive reuse, including a full interior renovation and site improvements. The facility will feature a reception area with separate dog and cat waiting rooms, five exam rooms, offices and conference space, call center, staff amenities, operating and treatment rooms, lead-lined x-ray room and dedicated housing for dogs and cats.
