SpringHill Suites by Marriott® tops out in New Braunfels

Riverfront hotel features acclaimed-chef restaurant, two-tier pool

NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS (March 2, 2026)SpringHill Suites New Braunfels River Village is topped out, marking a construction milestone for this eight-story, 150-key, all-suite hotel uniquely located on the banks of the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. Developed by Oldham Goodwin, the 150,000-square-foot SpringHill Suites New Braunfels River Village is located at 738 IH 35 North where guests can enjoy direct access to approximately 700 linear feet of Guadalupe River frontage.

Constructed by Arch-Con® Corporation and designed by Niles Bolton Associates, the hotel aims to capture the charm of New Braunfels, creating a resort-like experience for guests. Suites, junior executive and executive suites offer balconies overlooking the hotel’s outdoor amenities with sweeping river views.

“It is exciting to see the project taking shape and our vision becoming a reality,” said Oldham Goodwin Vice President of Development Services Chris Rhodes. “We are proud to celebrate this milestone alongside our entire project team, including Niles Bolton Associates, Arch-Con Corporation and their talented consultants and subcontractors who have helped bring us to this point. This SpringHill Suites will set a new standard for hospitality in New Braunfels, offering thoughtful design and amenities that serve both our guests and the local community.”

The design cleverly integrates a two-tier resort-style pool and hardscaping to rise with the site’s elevation. Outdoor amenities include poolside cabanas, lush grounds, fire pit with seating, lounge areas and walk paths that lead to river. Boat docks provide direct access to the Guadalupe River for recreation or a day on the water.

The first floor includes 14,277 square feet of restaurant, bar, lounge and grab-and-go retail areas. Chef Tim Love, a culinary pioneer famous for “Urban Western Cuisine” is bringing one of his latest concepts, Paloma Suerte, to the hotel as the signature restaurant. Tim Love’s collection of restaurants, largely located in the Fort Worth Stockyards, include Tex-Mex hot spot Paloma Suerte and iconic Lonesome Dove Western Bistro.

“I couldn’t be more excited to introduce the second version of Paloma Suerte to such a fun and vibrant community,” Tim Love said. “New Braunfels is the perfect fit for Paloma. It’s hard to imagine a better place to sip a killer margarita, enjoy some amazing queso, and dive into birria tacos than on a patio overlooking the water.”

This isn’t the first time Oldham Goodwin teamed up with Tim Love to bring a restaurant concept into a hotel development. Ático, a Tim Love brainchild, is located atop the Oldham Goodwin-developed SpringHill Suites Fort Worth Historic Stockyards, a hotel recognized among the Best Hotels in Texas for 2026 by U.S. News & World Report. In fact, the main players of the design, construction and development team for the SpringHill Suites in the Stockyards – Niles Bolton Associates, Arch-Con Corporation and Oldham Goodwin – is the same for this SpringHill Suites in New Braunfels.

“We are happy to have the team back together to deliver this exciting project to New Braunfels,” Oldham Goodwin President and COO Hunter Goodwin said. “We’ve had great success in the Stockyards and look forward to another top hotel in Texas.”

“We honored the historic character of New Braunfels by drawing inspiration from its textile and industrial roots,” said Principal and Director of Hospitality Andres Rubio at Niles Bolton Associates. “Rustic influences are expressed through a corrugated metal panel façade paired with stone veneer at the base. The result is a contemporary riverfront retreat that feels authentic to its place.”

Additional amenities include 4,400 square feet of flexible event space with boardrooms, ballroom-style meeting halls and a prep kitchen for on-site catering as well as a fitness center, business center and laundry facilities. Palomalita, an exclusive poolside food and beverage experience, will offer fresh, inspired bites and libations.

Adjacent to the SpringHill Suites is the Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village, also owned and operated by Oldham Goodwin. A scenic landscaped and lighted pathway will connect the two properties, creating a cohesive hospitality campus within the River Village Development.

“Celebrating a topping out is very important to Arch-Con,” Arch-Con Senior Vice President of Hospitality Michael Vaughn said. “It is a time when a project’s structure reaches its highest point and, most importantly, a time to thank everyone on the job for their hard work and diligence to the project. It is my favorite milestone, other than a successfully completed project.”

The SpringHill Suites New Braunfels River Village plans to open early 2027.
